I'm an accountant by profession, and am currently Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Advisor to three startup/growth businesses. My role is to ensure the appropriate financial disciplines are in place - financial control, cash flow optimisation, planning/forecasting clarity, and risk identification/management. For the last 20+ years I’ve held finance leadership roles in industries as diverse as digital health, retail, media, financial services, hospitality, and FMCG, in businesses from startups still searching for a viable business model to large organisations such as the world’s largest brewer; from businesses at death’s door to businesses experiencing rapid growth. I've also co-founded 3 startups (1 successful sale, 2 complete failures), advised many more startups/entrepreneurs, and am a part-time angel investor (I currently hold investments in 11 startups).
